FansubPanel

Everything a translation team needs, in one panel

FansubPanel replaces the spreadsheet, the Trello board and the pinned Discord message that say whose turn it is. Below is what it actually does — no roadmap items.

Workflow

Eight steps, two parallel tracks

RAW, translation, proofreading, cleaning, balloon cleaning, typesetting, visual editing and QC. The text and art tracks run at the same time and merge at typesetting, so nobody waits for work they do not need.

A workflow per series

Drop the steps your group does not use. Each series has its own workflow, and finished chapters keep showing the workflow they were made with if you change it later.

One-person mode

A locked single-step workflow for series one person handles end to end, convertible to a team workflow when people join.

Revisions that land on the right desk

QC sends a chapter back to the exact step that needs fixing, and translators get line-level comments instead of a vague "fix the text".

  1. 1. RAW Sourcing — Source chapters are uploaded and the workflow begins.
  2. 2. Translation — The translator renders the text into the target language.
  3. 3. Proofreading — The proofreader refines and polishes the translation.
  4. 4. Cleaning — Text on the source artwork is cleaned up.
  5. 5. Balloon Cleaning — Speech balloons are prepared.
  6. 6. Typesetting — Translated text is placed onto the artwork.
  7. 7. Visual Editor — Effects and visual touch-ups are applied.
  8. 8. Quality Check — Final review before the chapter is released.

Tasks and delivery

Assignments per step

Assign a person to each step of each series. When the previous step finishes, the next person is notified that it is their turn.

My Tasks and deadlines

Everyone sees their own queue with deadlines. A chapter that sits on the same step for 14 days triggers a reminder.

Release-ready downloads

Download a finished chapter as one archive, with a credits file listing who did each step.

Activity and metrics

A team activity feed and step durations show where chapters actually stall.

Team and communication

Chat with mentions

Team chat, a chat room per series and direct messages between members, with @mentions and online status.

Notifications where your team already is

In-app, email and Telegram notifications per person, and status updates posted to your Discord channel automatically.

Roles and permissions

Permissions attach to roles, assignments attach to people, and you can grant someone extra rights on a single series only.

Invites and recruiting

Invite links with optional approval, and "looking for a typesetter" style listings for open roles on a series.

Shared resources and safety

Glossary

A shared term base so names and recurring terms stay consistent across translators and chapters.

Font library and team hub

Typesetting fonts organized as families and categories, plus watermarks, templates and announcements in one place.

Trash and audit log

Deleted chapters, series and messages stay restorable for 30 days, and important actions are recorded.

Two languages

The whole interface is available in Turkish and English, per user.
