Browser tools

Free public browser tools: stitching webtoon slices and splitting them without cutting speech bubbles, and checking a font for missing characters. Files never leave your device.

Updated:

FansubPanel has two free, public tools that run in your browser: no account is needed and your files are never uploaded to a server; all the work happens on your own computer or phone. Once the page is open, the tools keep working even if your internet connection drops.

Where to find them

The Free tools page lists both tools; open one with Open the tool.

Webtoon stitcher and splitter

Stitches raw slices of different heights into one strip in order and splits it again at the height you choose. It moves each cut to an empty (flat-coloured) row, so speech bubbles, text and line art are not cut in half.

  1. Drop your images onto Drop images here or choose files (JPG, PNG, WebP). Images are sorted by file name, reading numbers as numbers (2 comes before 10).
  2. In Settings, choose the Output width, Target slice height (px), Cut sensitivity, Ignored edge (px), Output format, Quality and File name prefix.
  3. Press Stitch and split.
  4. Click a slice to download it on its own, or use Download all as ZIP.

Tips:

  • To avoid cutting a bubble, a cut may move slightly above or below the target height. If there is no suitable empty row, it cuts at the target and the result tells you how many forced cuts there were; take a look at those slices.
  • On gradient backgrounds, lowering Cut sensitivity makes it easier to find an empty row.
  • Slice height has an upper limit set by the browser (about 20,000 px at 800 px width); WebP cannot save images taller than 16,383 px. Values above the limit are lowered automatically.
  • Very long chapters can hit a phone browser's memory limit; a computer is more comfortable for chapters of 40–50 slices.

Font character checker

Shows whether a lettering font contains the letters a language needs. A missing letter gets drawn from another font when lettering and the line looks patched; the check catches this before you start.

  1. Drop your font files onto Drop font files here or choose files (TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2; you can choose several fonts).
  2. Choose the Language. The English page selects English (basic letters only); Turkish, Spanish, German and more are available.
  3. Optionally change the Preview text and try capitals with Show in UPPERCASE (common in lettering).
  4. Missing letters are marked in red in the preview, and the result says how many letters are missing.

The check does not verify the font's licence; check the licence on the font's own page before using it in a release. To share your team's fonts in the panel, see Team Hub.
