FansubPanel

Overview of the panel

How the FansubPanel screen is organised: the sidebar and its Management section, the team switcher, help, theme, notifications, the user menu and Ctrl+K search.

Updated:

Every screen in the panel has the same frame: the menu on the left, the team name and your personal buttons at the top, and the page you opened in the middle. The start page is the Dashboard: your assigned work, upcoming deadlines, stuck chapters and the latest team activity.

Dashboard: welcome banner, counters, tasks and recent activity

The top part holds the pages everyone uses:

  • Dashboard — the start page.
  • Series — the team's series and chapters.
  • Looking for People — "looking for someone" postings opened for series (shown if the feature is on for the team).
  • Series Messages — the inbox of series chats.
  • Team Hub — announcements, watermarks, PSD templates, fonts and tools.
  • Fansub Chat — the team's general chat.
  • Messages — private messages between members (shown if enabled for the team).
  • My Tasks — work assigned to you and waiting for you.
  • My Invitations — team invitations sent to you.
  • Notifications — all your notifications.

The number on a badge shows what is waiting for you on that page: unread messages, pending tasks, unread notifications and so on.

The Management section below is for the people who run the team: Fansub Settings, Members, Roles, Team Assignments, Team Board, Workflows, Subscriptions, My Data and Trash. Each link is shown only to people who can use it; without the permission the link is not drawn at all. For who sees what, see Roles and permissions.

Sidebar: general pages at the top, the Management section below

The small arrow button on the edge of the menu (Collapse sidebar) shrinks it to icons only; press it again to expand. Your active team's name sits at the bottom of the menu.

Top bar

  • Team name — next to the logo. If you are in more than one team, click the name and pick another one from Switch Fansub; the team box at the bottom of the sidebar does the same. After switching, every page opens with that team's data.
  • ? (Help) — shows help topics for the page you are on in a side panel (About this page). You can search there, read a topic without leaving the page, or go to all topics with Open the Help Center.
  • Theme — Light, Dark or System (follows your device).
  • Bell — your unread notification count and the latest notifications. See Notifications.
  • User menu — your avatar on the right.

Click your avatar to open it:

  • Profile — your member profile as the team sees it.
  • Account Settings — your profile details, password, sessions and notification preferences. See Profile and account.
  • Help Center — all help topics.
  • My Tool Keys — shown when desktop tools are enabled for your team. See Desktop tools.
  • Fansub Settings — shown if there is at least one team setting you can change.
  • Language — Türkçe or English. The choice is saved to your account and applies on all your devices.
  • Logout.

Quick search (Ctrl+K)

On any page, Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) opens the search window. Type at least 2 characters; results come in groups: Settings, Series, Chapters, Glossary and Members. Pick one with the arrow keys, go with Enter, close with Esc.

Ctrl+K search window: series and chapter results for "Ay Işığı"

  • Search only covers your active team.
  • Results are limited to the series you can see.
  • The Settings group only lists team settings you can change.
  • Members are found by username; searching by email address is not possible.

On a phone

On narrow screens the sidebar is hidden. The menu button at the top left (Open menu) opens the same menu from the side; the team switcher is at the top of it.
