Fansub Settings
The single home of all team settings: sections, setting search, who can change what, Discord webhook setup and test, deleting the team, audit logs.
Updated:
Fansub Settings is the single home of all your team's settings. Some settings also appear on related screens (Members, Messages, Team Hub, Looking for People); changing one there or here is the same setting.
Where to find it
In the left menu, at the top of the Management group, open Fansub Settings. The menu item appears for anyone who can change at least one team setting; the page only draws the sections you can change.
On the left are the Settings sections list and a search box. Clicking a section name scrolls the page there.

Searching settings
Type at least two letters in Search settings… (recruiting, newcomer, discord). Results match the setting's name, description, section and extra search words; Turkish letter differences are ignored. Clicking a result scrolls to that setting and highlights it for a few seconds. Only settings you can change are searched.

Sections
- General: Fansub Name, Description, Logo.
- Members and joining: Rookie period (on/off and Duration: 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days), Show members' real names to everyone, Members can change their username, Show previous usernames.
- Chat and communication: Full Chat History, Read Receipts, Private messages, Staff can view private messages, Online status and last seen, Allow reactions on announcements.
- Series and work: recruiting settings (see Looking for People), Members assigned to a step can create chapters in that series, All team members can download fonts.
- Discord notifications: the webhook URL and the events to announce (below).
- Subscription: the team's status and end date (information only; to change it, see Plans and subscription).
- Danger zone: Delete Fansub (owner only).
Each setting explains what it does underneath. For the effect of chat settings see Team chat; for private message settings see Direct messages.
Saving
There are two kinds of settings:
- Saved with the form (name, logo, privacy, chat history, read receipts, chapter creation, font download, Discord): when you change one, the You have unsaved changes bar appears at the bottom; click Save or Discard. Leaving the page without saving shows a warning.
- Saved instantly (rookie period, private messages, staff oversight, online status, announcement reactions, recruiting): saved the moment you flip the switch. The private message, oversight, online status and announcement reaction switches say Staff and above can change this · saved instantly underneath.
Setting up the Discord webhook
- In Discord, open the settings of the channel that should receive announcements (the gear next to the channel name).
- Go to Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook.
- Click Copy Webhook URL.
- In the Discord notifications section, paste it into Webhook URL. The URL must start with
https://discord.com/api/webhooks/. - Tick the events to announce:
- Series events: Chapter completed, New chapter opened (bulk is a single summary), New series added, Looking for someone.
- Team workflow: A step is ready (fires on every step handover — can get busy on an active series), Revision requested.
- Hub: New Hub asset.
- Click Save in the bar at the bottom.
- Use Send test message to post a test to the channel. The test uses the saved URL: save your new URL first.

To @mention the assignee in the channel, members must link their Discord account from their profile; otherwise only their name is shown. For how Discord and Telegram fit together, see Discord and Telegram.
Deleting the team
Danger zone → Delete Fansub → enter your password in the dialog → Delete Permanently. The team and all its content (series and chapters, chat messages, workflows, member roles and invitations, logo and media) are removed from the panel. Per our retention policy the content is not destroyed immediately, but you cannot restore it yourself; contact support if you need it back.

Who can do this
- General, privacy and usernames, chat history and read receipts, chapter creation and font settings, Discord, Subscription: the team owner, Fansub Yöneticisi (admin) and anyone with Manage Fansub (
fansub.manage). - Rookie period, private messages, staff oversight, online status, announcement reactions: the owner, admins and Fansub Görevlisi (staff), i.e. "staff and above".
- Recruiting settings: the owner, admins and anyone with Assign Series Roles.
- Deleting the team: the team owner only.
If you want staff to change the admin settings too, give them a role with Manage Fansub (see Custom roles).
Audit logs
Important actions in the team (invitations, role changes, setting changes, deletions…) are kept on the Audit Logs page: /fansubs/<team>/audit-logs. Use the Filter button to narrow by User, Action Type, Model Type, Start Date and End Date; click an entry to open its details (changes, description, date). The owner, admins and staff can see it.
Good to know
- If an instant setting says This setting applies to your selected team. Switch to this team first to change it., the team on the page is not your currently selected team; switch to it first.
- When a screen's feature is turned off (recruiting, for example), its switch stays here: you can always find the place to turn it back on in Fansub Settings.
