RAW upload
Upload, reorder and delete a chapter's raw pages on the RAW Provider screen, share an external link instead, add source info and complete the step.
Updated:
RAW Provider is the first step of the workflow: you bring the chapter's untranslated raw pages (RAW) to the team. The translator and the cleaner work from these pages; once you complete, their steps open.
The top of the screen, the Workflow panel and Notes work the same on every step: What every step screen shares.
Where to find it
Continue on the chapter page's Your turn card, the RAW Provider row in the chapter's workflow list, or My Tasks → Go to Task.
Files or a link
The first time you open the step, a Choose Source Type card appears:
- Upload Files: upload the pages from your computer.
- External Link: if the pages are on Google Drive, MEGA or similar, share the link.
To change it later, use Switch to external link mode or Switch to file upload mode at the top right of the work area. A confirmation ("Switch source mode?") opens: existing files are not deleted, only set aside; they come back if you switch back. You start fresh in the new mode.
Step by step: uploading files

- Drag the files onto the upload box, or click the box and choose them. You can choose several files at once.
- The files are sorted by name, with numbers in the right order (1, 2, 10…), and uploaded one after another; each file's progress shows in the list.
- Uploaded pages appear in the grid below.
- If needed, fill in the publication URL and a note under Original Source (where it came from) (see below).
- Press Complete in the header. The step will not complete without at least one file or an external link ("Please upload at least one file or add an external link.").
After completing you land on the chapter page; the steps that depend on RAW (for example the translator and the cleaner) open and their assignees are notified.
Accepted files
- PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP and GIF.
- Up to 50 MB per file.
- Up to 100 files per selection; choose more in several rounds.
- If the team's storage is full, no new files can be uploaded.
If you pick a file that is not accepted, a warning tells you why and the other files keep uploading.
Reordering, previewing and deleting

- Reorder: drag a page onto another page's place, or use Move Up / Move Down on the card. The new order is saved right away; later steps see the pages in this order.
- Preview: opens the page large; use the arrows to move between pages.
- Delete: the delete button on a card removes that page ("This file will be permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone."). For several pages, tick the cards or press Select All, then Delete (N).
- The Upload Status card on the left shows the total file count and size; Download Files downloads the pages you uploaded.
Source info

Original Source (where it came from) is optional and tells the later steps where the chapter came from:
- Publication URL (optional): the page where the chapter was published. If you leave out
https://, it is added for you; if it is not a valid address you see "Enter a valid link — it must start with https://." - Notes: a short note about the source.
The fields save automatically when you leave them, and are also sent when you press Complete. When filled, a green check appears next to the heading; when empty, it reads Not set. The translator, the cleaner and the other steps see this info next to the RAW files.
Handing in with an external link
In External Link mode an External Source card appears:
- Paste the folder address into Link (required).
- Optionally pick a Platform (Google Drive, MEGA, Dropbox, OneDrive, MediaFire, Catbox, Imgur, Other) and add access details under Notes.
- Save. The card turns into External Source Saved; you can copy the link, open it with Open link or change it with Edit.
- Complete in the header.
Later steps see this link instead of the pages.
Who can do this
The person assigned to the RAW Provider step in this series, plus the team owner, Fansub Admin and Fansub Moderator. Assignments: Step assignments. Series whose workflow has no RAW step (for example the Single Track template) do not have this screen; the translator names the source on their own screen.
Good to know
- The RAW step can receive revisions: the translator or the cleaner can ask you to fix missing or wrong pages. The request shows up at the top of your screen under Incoming Revision Requests (Proofreading and revisions).
- If you need to fix something after completing, Undo in the Workflow panel reopens the step; if someone has already started on the next step you cannot undo and should wait for them to request a revision (Chapter status and reopening).
